Impacts of a Health Advisory for PFOA and PFOS at Trace Levels

Riverside County water district files lawsuit against 3M, DuPont, others over PFAS

SL Environmental Law Group has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Rubidoux Community Services District against 3M Company, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Inc., and other manufacturers of aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) for their involvement in the manufacture and sale of per and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS”) that have contaminated groundwater supplies in Jurupa Valley in Riverside County, California.

Rubidoux Community Services District Files A Lawsuit Against 3M, DuPont And Others Over PFAS Contamination

"Rubidoux has worked to identify and treat wells that have been contaminated with PFAS to ensure the safety of these crucial water supplies. Through this lawsuit, Rubidoux is seeking to protect the ratepayers in our service area and ensure that the costs of cleaning up these contaminants are borne by 3M, DuPont, and the other companies that sold and profited from their products containing PFAS.”

City of Pomona Wins $48 Million to Clean Up Groundwater

In September 2021, a jury in federal court in Los Angeles awarded the City of Pomona, California more than $48 million to clean up groundwater supplies that had been contaminated by perchlorate, which is banned from drinking water supplies from the state at very low concentrations.
